Bell Goes to Her Forever Home in Whitingham, Vermont!!!

On Saturday, June 15th, 2013 we took Bell to her forever home in Whitingham, Vermont.  Bell will be living with a cat and two horses and will be able to watch the birds and squirrels romping around the yard!  As you can see from the pictures, it didn't take her long to settle in!






Training Classes Starting Monday, June 24th, 2013!!!




Kim Welch, CPDT-KA, CAP II, CDW will be starting her first round of training classes on Monday, June 24th, 2013.  The first class is Real Life Manners.  This class is for dogs and puppies over 5 months of age.  Sit, down, loose lease walking, leave it, recall, stay as well as work on naughty behaviors.  The class is at 6:00 PM.
The second class offered is Intro to Clicker Training.  This class is for dogs and puppies over 5 months of age.  Some basic behaviors plus using the clicker to free shape behaviors and fun tricks will be taught as well as helping the handler to master clicker and reward timing.  The class is at 7:00 PM.
Both class will run through July 29, 2013.  The cost is $120.00 for each.  Call or stop by for more information or to sign up!  603-355-1556.

Fast Friends is please to announce Kim Welch, CPDT-KA, CAP II, CDW and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator



Fast Friends is pleased to announce that Kim Welch, CPDT-KA, CAP II, CDW and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator will be conducting Training Classes, Play Groups, Day Training and Private Consultations at Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue and Adoption Center! 



Kim is a certified professional dog trainer that is known in the area for her techniques to create happy well-adjusted pets. She has a working knowledge of learning theory and dog behavior and understands dog/dog as well as dog/human communication. Classes will be starting June 24th.  Call or stop in for details!

Volunteer Orientation Sunday, July 21st, 2013

Come join us for our Volunteer Orientation Sunday, July 21st at 11:00 am. We'll tell you all about greyhounds, Fast Friends and show you how to walk and socialize with our greyhounds.  Once You have attended an orientation, you can visit any day from 11am-3pm to help walk the greyhounds, socialize, help with chores or special events. There are lots of different volunteer opportunities to choose from. We hope to see you there!  Please wear sneakers and bring water!

Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue and Keene Doggy Daycamp is pleased to announce that we're nearing the end of construction on our building expansion!  The expansion helps us to better serve our customers!  

 Enhancements include:
     *Indoor/outdoor Play Yards
     *Lots of Play Equipment
     *New Kennels
     *Function room for Trainings, Events and Birthday Parties

Yard Sale to Benefit Sara!

Yard Sale & Lunch
June 22nd, 8am – 2pm
Rain or Shine to benefit Sara

All Proceeds from the Yard Sale will go towards Sara’s medical expenses.


Sara came to Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue and Adoption Center with a cloudy left eye due to an unknown trauma.  Dr. Jurk from Animal Eye Care of New England examined her and prescribed her medicine. She does have some vision in her left eye and is on the road to recovery!

Summer Reading Program Orientation

Calling All Kids!!!

Do you like to read?  Do you like Dogs?

Have you ever met a greyhound?

Our Greyhounds need people, just like you,

to read to them this summer.

We are having a special training day on

Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 am

Ask your parents if you can come to Fast Friends to learn how you can help the greyhounds by reading to them. Afterwards, you will be able to sign up for a time to come back to read to a special greyhound. We will have books available here or you can bring one from home.

For everyone that comes back to read to a Greyhound at least 5 times during the summer, you will get a Gift Certificate for a

FREE Ice Cream Cone at Twinkle Town!
